Free Speaking Event: The Future of Museums in Egypt

On Saturday, November 28 at 3 pm, Mohamed Ghoneim, the general coordinator of the Grand Egyptian Museum Project in Giza will present a lecture titled In the Shadow of the Pyramids: The Grand Egyptian Museum Project in the Koret Auditorium at the de Young. The lecture provides a sneak peek into the future of museums in Egypt. Mohamed Ghoneim will speak about the international contest that culminated in the selection of an architect to design the museum's structure, the different galleries that will be housed within the museum, plans for the breathtaking surrounding gardens, and the exciting location of the museum in Giza, near the Great Pyramids.
